Re-Modeling Science Instruction

Provide rigorous introductory science coursework in which students learn by constructing, validating, deploying and revising scientific models; improve attitudes about science through scientific learning from faculty, graduate students and peers; increase retention rates by creating research-validated learning environments that encourage participation; serve pre-service and in-service teachers; create innovative educational landscape that may serve as a model for other institutions.
