Within FIU STEM Departments, faculty continue to make multi-year, sustained, and successful efforts to support improved student outcomes through curricular and pedagogical reforms.  Our STEM faculty develop new curricular materials, innovate in their teaching methods and classroom designs, incorporate Learning Assistants (LAs) into their courses, and utilize other evidence-based strategies to support the success of FIU STEM students. To recognize and reward the critical efforts of these champions, the STEM Transformation Institute re-established its Faculty Champions program, formerly known as the faculty fellows program. 

In 2024-25, with the support from the FIU Office of the Provost, the following faculty were nominated by their department chairs and recognized at the STEM TI Faculty Champions event for their academic excellence and continued contributions towards student success and research growth at FIU.
