Discipline-Based Education Research meetings bring a multidisciplinary group of faculty together every week weeks for a seminar series on undergraduate STEM education reform and research in the Fall and Spring semesters. The goal of the meetings is to bring interested faculty and students together into a forum for course/program transformation and education research.
The DBER community represents STEM programs in the College Arts, Sciences & Education and the College of Engineering & Computing. Past topics have included curricula (Modeling, ISLE, etc.), techniques such as aligning assessment with course goals, education frameworks (LA model, PLTL, etc.), and the research that evidences the impact of these reforms.
