Eric Brewe

Eric Brewe

As a Physics Education Researcher, Eric Brewe’s work is centered on Modeling Instruction, a curriculum and pedagogy founded on the idea that science learning involves creation, use, validation and revision of conceptual models. Ongoing projects include networked studies of persistence and retention, investigations of the process of appropriation of conceptual models into mental models, and extensions of the Modeling Instruction approach. In addition to research on postsecondary physics, Brewe is helping to prepare future physics teachers through Modeling Workshops and serves as co-editor for Effective Practices in Physics Teacher Preparation.
